Cookie Policy
Effective Date: February 2026
At Catherine Rose Foundation, we believe in transparency—whether it's about how we fund our mission or how we use technology to connect with you. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how we use them, and the choices you have.
Just like a well-tended vineyard, your trust takes time to grow—and we honor that.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit a website. They help the site remember your actions and preferences over time, making your experience more efficient and personalized.
We use cookies to:
We use different types of cookies to make our site work and to grow our impact thoughtfully. Below is a breakdown of each category.
Purpose: These cookies are essential for the website to function properly. They enable core features like site security, network management, and donation processing. Without them, our Site simply wouldn't work.
Examples: Session cookies, security tokens, shopping cart functionality (for donations).
Can I decline? No. These cookies are mandatory and cannot be disabled. They do not track you or store personal information beyond what is necessary for the current session.
Purpose: These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting anonymous data—like which pages are most popular, how users navigate, and what content resonates. This information allows us to improve the Site's structure, content, and overall user experience. It's like having a friendly conversation with our community about what matters most to you.
Examples: Google Analytics (configured to anonymize IP addresses and not share data with third parties for advertising).
Can I decline? Yes. You can opt out of these cookies. Disabling them means we won't know if you visited our site or have feedback on how to improve it. But we'll still be grateful you stopped by.
Purpose: These cookies remember choices you make (like your preferred language, region, or volunteer interests) to provide a more personalized and convenient experience during future visits. Think of them as a friendly volunteer who remembers your name and how you like to help.
Examples: A cookie that remembers you've already completed our Volunteer Interest Form, or that you prefer to see veteran program information first.
Can I decline? Yes. You can opt out, but doing so may mean some site features will be less personalized or won't work as intended.
Purpose: These cookies are set by our advertising and social media partners (such as Meta/Facebook) to help us share our mission with people who may be interested. They may be used to build a profile of your interests, measure the effectiveness of our outreach, and show you relevant content on other platforms. We use these tools carefully and respectfully—never to exploit or overwhelm.
Examples: Facebook Pixel (which helps us understand how many people take action after seeing our content, while protecting individual privacy).
Can I decline? Yes. You can opt out of these cookies. Disabling them means you may see less personalized content or ads from us online. You'll still be part of our community—we'll just be a little less visible.
You have choices. You can:
Please note: If you disable certain cookies, some parts of our Site may not function as smoothly. We appreciate your understanding.
Our Site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals from web browsers. We continue to evaluate emerging standards in this area and will update this policy accordingly.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and notify you via our newsletter or a prominent notice on our Site.
We recommend checking back occasionally—like checking on young vines in early spring.
Cookies are just one small part of how we steward your trust. To learn more about how we protect your personal information, please read our full Privacy Notice.
