Where STEM Meets Soil | Education for the Real World

The Agri-Science Academy is a dynamic, hands-on STEM program designed to engage at-risk youth (ages 12-18) from low-income families. We bridge the gap between classroom theory and tangible, high-demand skills in agriculture, environmental science, and technology.

Our Hands-On Curriculum

We believe in learning by doing. Our curriculum is built on three interconnected pillars:

1. Sustainable Agriculture & Viticulture

Students manage their own plots, learning planting cycles, irrigation tech, and organic pest control.
They work alongside our veterans in the vineyard, understanding the science behind grape cultivation.

2. Environmental Science & Stewardship

Lessons on local ecosystems, water quality testing (aligning with TCEG frameworks), and soil health.
Projects in habitat restoration and conservation on our 20-acre campus.

3. Agri-Tech & Innovation

Introduction to drone technology for field mapping, sensor-based irrigation systems, and data analysis for crop management.
Basics of coding and robotics as applied to modern farming challenges.

🎓 The Collegiate Pathway | From Our Fields to Higher Education

Our vision extends far beyond after-school sessions. We are building a pipeline to higher education and high-tech careers.

Dual-Credit & Certification Pathways: We are focusing on developing partnerships with local community colleges (like Angelina College or Stephen F. Austin State University) to offer dual-credit courses in Agricultural Science. Students can earn college credits while in high school.
Industry-Recognized Certifications: Students will have the opportunity to earn preparatory credentials in areas like Agricultural Safety, TCEQ Environmental Compliance Basics, and Precision Agriculture Technology.
"Bridge to College" Summer Internships: Top academy graduates will be eligible for paid summer internships with our vineyard operations or partner agricultural tech firms, building resumes and professional networks.
Mentorship by Collegiate Learners: College students from partner institutions (in agriculture, biology, engineering) will serve as program mentors, giving our youth a direct connection to their next possible step.

📅 Year-Round Engagement

After-School Programs: Semester-long modules focusing on specific themes like "The Chemistry of Compost" or "Engineering Efficient Irrigation."
Summer Camp Intensives: Week-long immersive camps (e.g., "Vineyard Science Camp," "Agri-Tech Bootcamp") that dive deep into project-based learning.
Capstone Projects: Seniors design and execute a sustainable agriculture project on campus, presenting their findings to the community and potential college reps.
